Tom Brady: The Movie

Fun Fact of the Day: Yesterday was Florida Panthers right wing Jaromir Jagr’s 45th birthday. He became the 3rd player to play in an NHL game at age 45+, after Hall of Famers Gordie Howe and Chris Chelios.

Today’s Rundown

Dray joins the fray.  Yesterday, Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green gave his flaming hot take on the recent N.Y. Knicks feud between owner James Dolan and former Knick Charles Oakley. He said that Dolan was treating Oakley with a “slave-master mentality,” because Dolan only liked Oakley when he was playing for his team and Dolan didn’t want Oakley to have his own opinions or be critical of the Knicks once he retired. Back up. Remind me, what feud?  Oh, just the feud we’ve been talking about all week. Last week, Oakley was forcibly removed from a game and arrested for assaulting several members of security.  Oakley said he was just minding his own business, but Dolan said Oakley was yelling insults at him. Things escalated when Dolan banned Oakley from the arena and implied that Oakley has a substance abuse problem. Earlier this week, Dolan agreed to lift Oakley’s ban, thanks to some skillful mediation by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and b-ball legend Michael Jordan.

Bracket busted. President Donald Trump is breaking with tradition. Despite his penchant for picking winners, he’s declined to pick March Madness brackets for ESPN this year. In recent years, former President Barack Obama, an avid basketball fan, agreed to fill out his brackets for the men’s and women’s tournaments on SportsCenter. Those brackets can now be found in the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

Patriots Day 2?  The writers of the film Patriots Day are currently developing a movie and a book about New England Patriots QB Tom Brady’s journey to winning Super Bowl 51. They will start with the story of Deflategate and lead all the way up to the Pats’ incredible comeback victory against the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl.

A man of many talents.  Pittsburgh Steelers Le’Veon Bell is already one of the best running backs in the league. Now, he’s setting his sights to the music industry—he’s planning to drop an album next month. He got a taste for the music biz last month when he released a track called “Shrimp Bayless” in which he called out Fox Sports talking head Skip Bayless.
