The One With An Expensive Cookbook

Fun Fact of the Day:  This past season, Golden State Warriors Steph Curry’s jersey was the top seller in 47 states.  LeBron James (Ohio), Kevin Durant (Oklahoma) and Kobe Bryant (Delaware?!?) are the only players to beat out Curry for No. 1.

Today's Rundown

Advantage:  Thunder.   Last night the Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the San Antonio Spurs 95-91 to take the lead in the series 3-2.  This win was all thanks to Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook who kept them in the game during the 4th quarter, and made a 3-point play with only seconds left on the clock.  After losing only 1 game at home in the regular season, the Spurs have now lost 2 straight in San Antonio during the postseason.

Back by popular demand. Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry won his 2nd straight MVP award!  In usual Steph-fashion, he set another NBA record in the process by becoming the only player to win by unanimous vote. To celebrate here are a couple of our favorite Steph facts from this past season:  Steph made a 3-pointer in all 79 games he played this season. No other player has ever made a 3 in more than 22 games in a season.  During the 2014-15 season, Steph set a NBA record for 286 3-pointers, this past season he blew his own record out of the water by more than 40%, making 402 3-pointers.

Another early exit.  The Pittsburgh Penguins are moving on to the Eastern Conference final after defeating the Washington Capitals 4-3 in overtime.  The Penguins started off the extra period with a flurry of shots, including one that was knocked away by Caps Jay Beagle’s stick when he dived face-first into the goal. Ultimately, Penguins Nick Bonino scored the game-winning goal.  Now, the Penguins are 8-1 against the Caps in the playoffs.  Next up the Penguins will face the Tampa Bay Lightning, while the Caps head back to D.C. with another failed postseason.  Whomp whomp.

Your next fad diet… New England Patriots Tom Brady has attributed his football longevity to his extremely strict diet. Now you can deprive yourself just like a superstar QB, because Brady has released a new $200 wood-bound and etched cookbook called the TB12 Nutrition Manual!  The book is already sold out but here are a few tips from Brady’s personal chef to get you started: no coffee, no white sugar, no white flour, no MSG, no iodized salt…  mmm mmm good.  If you’re left craving more Tom Brady, dull the hunger pains by watching this collection of his best commercials over the years, including his newest Beauty Rest mattress spot.
